On Saturday, Nov. 9, the Kamiakin boys cross country team competed in the 3A State Championship at the Sun Willows golf course in Pasco. The boys ended up as first place out of the 16 teams that came from across the state.

They were led by several seniors, including Isaac Teeples, who had the fastest time out of all the runners. Also placing well were seniors Andrew Larson, Jax Weide, Jonathan Loganegro, and Stanford Smith.  The future of the team was also well represented by sophomore Grayson Wilcott, who placed 20th overall.

This was the third consecutive state win for our runners, and by winning at state, the boys qualified for the national championship in Idaho, in which they also did very well. This was a great end to an amazing season for the boys cross country team, who worked hard and represented Kamiakin well.
